Building a Business While Healing: What No One Talks About

There’s this funny thing that happens when you’re growing a business and healing your body and spirit at the same time. People see the launches, the new classes, the polished website, the new TikTok videos. What they don’t see is the quiet, messy middle where you’re trying to show up for your work while also trying to show up for yourself.
I’ve been living in that middle lately. Facing myself in ways I never have before. 💪
Healing hasn’t been this neat little season where I step away, do a reset, and come back “better.” It’s been happening right in the middle of building everything. Updating my platform. Filming. Teaching. Trying to be consistent. Trying to trust the process. Trying to trust myself (perhaps the biggest lesson of all. Anyone relate?).
It’s the moments where your gut is inflamed (I have chronic gut issues from YEARS of eating disorders), or your energy drops out of nowhere (human designer manifestor crashes 🤦♀️), but you still have a class to teach or show up to a meeting with the most open heart.
The moments where your old patterns whisper in your ear and you have to breathe yourself back into center.
The moments where you’re proud of what you’re creating… but damn, you’re also exhausted. 😥
No one tells you how vulnerable it feels to build something from your heart while your body is rewriting its own story from the inside out. No one tells you how much inner work comes up when you finally decide you’re all in on your dream…How old wounds resurface. How the shadows get loud. How every piece of you that’s still scared gets dragged up to the surface.
But maybe that’s the point. 🤔
Maybe building a business while healing isn’t a distraction from the inner work. Maybe it is the inner work. Maybe this blend of expansion and tenderness is the exact initiation we’re supposed to walk through.
You don’t get stronger without meeting your edges. You don’t learn self-trust without walking through the moments where you could easily quit, shut down, or disappear.
And you don’t get to your next chapter without carrying all the versions of you who fought to get here.
So if you’re in a season where you’re growing and healing at the same time, you’re not doing it wrong. You’re not behind. You’re not “too messy to succeed.” You’re in the part that no one posts about, but it’s the part that matters the most.
It’s the part where you become the person who can hold the thing you’re building.
And that’s exactly where I’m standing right now. Welcoming it all with an open heart, and showing up as best as I can each moment.
Drop a comment if you can relate to any of this. Let’s stop hiding and start sharing. 🥰
